147. Angel Sway

I'm writing the verbiage of this blog as I look out at tumbleweed flying across I-84 in the middle of Idaho.  (Yeah Blackberry).  Idaho!?  you might ask - yes I am in Idaho and en route to Orem, Utah.  Only 5 more hours to go - maybe... we forgot there was an hour time change.  I'm helping my friend relocate to Utah for a new job...

So let me backtrack and introduce my travel partner - Angelique... aka Angel.  Angelique is one of my closest HAL friends... we've been sidekicks for a few years now.  Dating back to the stressful days of fighting for 2.4% commission and sneaking in an extra 15 minutes for our lunch runs.  We both scramble for parking spots, crave Starbucks, LOVE the New Kids, hot soccer players, and have a weird sense of humor and distain towards authoritative figures.  Random I know... but I think that's why we click so well.

We set out super early this morning in typical Myra and Angelique fashion… we stopped at Starbucks before we even got on the road. Hahahah and we’ve been listening to a plethora of New Kids on the Block music from past and present. Lots of libations within reach so we’re good to go. We haven’t spoken much about good byes or what she’s leaving behind… I don’t think I’m ready for that talk yet. As sad as I am to see her off on this new adventure – I am so very proud of her. This move is a huge step and I think it’s not only the right step for her but I think it will open so many doors to her future. So as I sit and look out the window at… seriously?!? more tumbleweeds and an eerie sunset I can’t help but hope the road to Orem lasts just a little longer so we can chat just a little more…

*To my good friend – I wish you nothing but the best because that is what you deserve. Congratulations on this next step. Whenever you want to come home there will be coffee waiting for you … on every corner with hot baristas waiting to serve you! R rated movies for you to watch and hopefully a New Kids concert for you to accompany me to! Hahahah *hugs*

Angel and I before we set out...

Such a cute sign :)
Her Fam posted it on the door when we got in at 11:30 at night...

  1. Ahh you made me cry and I am at work. I miss our Starbucks and our NKOTB moments. I will be in Seattle for a week after I visit San Fran for a weekend in Jan. I will see you and Lee then.
