I had to do a post about this picture. I have NEVER laughed so hard at work until I saw the back of my coworkers tie. Alexi and I always joke about how a lot of things were "before my time". I think he was under the assumption that I wouldn't know the store when he asked me. The second I read "OAKTREE" I had a hundred random flashbacks of Westlake Center in downtown Seattle. Oaktree was on the first level right before JW and below the Disney Store. I was in middle school with my Jansport backpack bouncing off my butt with my initial belt buckle hanging my belt end around my knees. I was wearing a HUGE polo shirt and jeans that I had borrowed from my dads closet and my maroon chuck taylors. YIKES! The flashbacks prompted a long conversation about fashion mishaps, stores, styles, and places from that era. After doing some math - we came to realize that the tie is approximately 17 years old at this point.
I wanted to share this with you only because it took me on a flashback journey and I loved recapping that time. All it took was an "OAKTREE" label... may you all have fun flashbacks at some point.
