Despite the ridiculous downpour in Seattle, I had a marvelous birthday. I slept in, watched tv in bed until 12; which is why I was late getting up... I attended a bridal shower, yes another wedding coming up, I had a wonderful family style dinner w/ friends, went home and had a few glasses of wine with CAKE and ice cream, learned to play Gin and ended the night in complete exhaustion with a smile on my face. Birthday Day = Success
The Day After. I woke up early to meet up with my fam and celebrate! Went to a new Dim Sum spot in the Wedgewood/Greenlake area called Bamboo Village. It was "ok". Had Kenji and I not been Dim Sum ordering experts I think we would have never been served! After catching up with the family, Kenji and I ventured down to UW to catch the Seahawks Open Training Camp @ Husky Stadium. Met up w/ some of the homies and hung out for a few hours. Afterwards we made group trip to Crawfish King for dinner. Nomage. THEN Kenji and I went to Pioneer Square and did the March to the Match. Ending the night watching the Sounders win with my best friend at my side.
I wanted to stop and say Thank You to every person that sent me a greeting of some sort yesterday. I actually did try and after a few hours I fell back asleep :) I am amazed at the outpouring of messages. Yeah everyone gets blown up on facebook - that's bc at midnight 400+ people are notified it's your birthday. However, I was overwhelmed and humbled by the text messages, phone calls, emails, and bbms I received. Friends of new and old, and those that were near and far :) Its a great feeling when you get those personal touchs. So simple yet they mean the world. Thank you everyone who made my weekend so amazing. I'm so blessed :)
