Every holiday season my company steps up and gives back to its community. We are blessed with the opportunity to work with an organization called "New Beginnings". It's a program to assist single displaced and abused mothers. Every participating department adopts a family based on their department size. Their job is to gather as much of the families "wish list" as possible. The goal is to help these moms provide their children with a Christmas season.
This year my department was assigned a family of 6 - a mom and her 5 children ranging from ages 13-4 year old twins. As one of the coordinators for the project, I admit - it was quite the task trying to gather enough $ and donated items. I am happy to report that we did come through in the end and were able to help grant all of their wish list items and more!
The pictures are from "loading time". Everyone is outside trying to load the bus to take all the items to New Beginnings... after 30 minutes of load time - we had to call for a 2nd bus to come :)
